I love days like that!

My kind of food: can you provide the lemon herb dressing recipe?

Thanks, S

Swooning over the lunch. Laughing at the delight in your faces. How I would love the recipe for the fig confit.

sounds a perfect lunch.....food to die for....great company...hard to beat

She "does lunch like other people do a wedding"--that is so funny, and I know exactly what you mean!

They sound like the very best of friends and the very best kind of day.

You had a 4G day.

Great friends you have.
Great food you ate.
Great memories you made,
Great journey back home.

That is my kind of food also. It's the friendship that makes it even more special....

Beautiful day!

Yum Yum! What a delicious looking meal. The egg on top looks good. Love your post about the old vegetarian days, no bra, no makeup, no shaving! Hahahaha! You look wonderful today though!!

2 large sweet potatoes, cut into chunks
a swish of olive oil
1-2 teaspoons turmeric
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups vegetable broth
¼ cup lemon juice
⅓ cup olive oil
1 small clove garlic
2 teaspoons agave
¼ cup parsley leaves
¼ teaspoon salt (more to taste)
poached or scrambled eggs
brown rice or quinoa
arugula or spinach or greensss
pistachios or other nuts for topping

sending hugs.. love you and your family.. xoxo

Corey, you got the recipe exactly as I found in on the Internet! I ate leftovers today. xo

Are you sure we weren't friends in the 70's? Your description really took me back... These days it's leather shoes, makeup, etc... but my hair is long with...grey! Ah, the 70's! ✌️

You make me giggle.

This sounds so good. I want to make it soon!!

Tickled in an ouch sort of way, but got some really really great smiles and laughs out of you and onto the photos!! I was most amused by the progression (which I'd never have understood had you not pointed it out.)
Hmm. I've been gone from your blog for a long time it seems. A bit of drama and sadness and outrage and then slight acceptance and fun and connection and community and grief and whatnot going on here, so I haven't been connecting with Tongue in Cheek. The fact that I'm catching up on past blogs means things have settled slightly.

A beautiful night for driving home (being driven home) as well. Just lovely.
