Friends came over for lunch today. Jean-Marc brought over wine from his vineyard, beautiful labor of love wine. Gina made the above. A pear baked in crust with gorgonzola, sauteed shallots and nuts.
So pretty none of us wanted to take the first bite.

The pear salad looks delicious. What kind of dressing is on the lettuce, just a vinaigrette?
Thanks

Is that a contemporary chair at the end of the table? ;-)

I noticed that chair too as I was examining the buffet and dishes! Isn't that funny how we are? It's like I obsess over all the details in the pictures. With envy!!

Summer 2001, the harbor in Monte Carlo, as Chef on a 150-foot yacht, for desert I served a broiled pear, with a wedge of St. Agur cheese, drizzled with lavender honey, and garnished with a large, deep-fried sage leaf dusted with 10X sugar. It was one of those spectacular moments that come every once in a great while, and is still discussed, typically around the holiday table. Vraiment.
