What a beautiful story, very similar to my own growing up. I'm so glad Gabriel will have both rural and urban to experience as he grows.

I too grew up in the country. It is where my heart is, even though I no longer live there. Your post today resonated with me. A beautiful post. Thank you.

Pulling all the threads together. Life has been speaking to you. So beautifully expresed!

I love your memories. In some ways very similar to what I experienced. With barefeet squishy the soft dirt between the toes and outside all day long then moving to concrete.
