He is now added to my daily prayer list!

Please give his hand a gentle squeeze for me.

Praying for you all, and wishing you comfort and peace.

“Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your breakers and your billows have swept over me.
The Lord will send his faithful love by day;
his song will be with me in the night—
a prayer to the God of my life.” (Psalm 42:7–8)

May the Lord continue to guide, comfort, and flood Marty, you and your family with His love; may He be a balm to your souls.

My prayers for your brother and everyone facing the challenges of cancer or any illness.
God bless everyone suffering through it all
My prayers are for you dear Corey and your family.
Know many are with you and prayers continue for you all.
Much love and many blessings for strength and courage, and faith.
Love Jeanne

Been streaming prayers for days now for every Amaro on the face of the earth. Since
i did not have a first name, I trusted God to sort it all out. ;-) Sending love to all.

Thank you for sharing this impossibly difficult time with us. I will pray for your brother and and his and your family and the Teriyaki chicken lady who exudes hope and healing.

Prayers for Marty, his family and yours dear Corey.

Oh, Corey, I've never met your brother, but I feel like I know your entire family from reading your blog all these years. I am bereft. My heart goes out to you and your entire family. Please hug Marty, cup his face gently in your hands, and look into his eyes, then tell him that all of your readers, from all over the world, are thinking about him, praying for him, asking and hoping for a miracle.
jackie, praying in Boston...

As you know I’m already praying for him. Now will add that delightful teriyaki lady too. Xx

Corey: You have shared so much love with us for years.
Please know I am sending your brother, you and all of your family healing energy every day.
Much love,
Maryann

so very sorry to hear of your brother's illness - as another reader above commented, after all these years, we feel that we know your family so well. I am sorry that he has to walk this path and fight this fight. Thank God that he has you next to him. Many prayers and much love to your family during this time.

Ten hours is a long time. Being there is a beautiful expression of love.
God bless Marty and your whole family!

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer.

One of my favorite Psalms when life looks bleak. Praying for Marty and all of your family.

love and blessings,

Psalm 34 Complete Jewish Bible (CJB)

By David, when he pretended to be insane before Avimelekh, who then drove him away; so he left:

I will bless Adonai at all times;
his praise will always be in my mouth.
When I boast, it will be about Adonai;
the humble will hear of it and be glad.

Proclaim with me the greatness of Adonai;
let us exalt his name together.
I sought Adonai, and he answered me;
he rescued me from everything I feared.

They looked to him and grew radiant;
their faces will never blush for shame.
This poor man cried; Adonai heard
and saved him from all his troubles.
The angel of Adonai, who encamps
around those who fear him, delivers them.

Taste, and see that Adonai is good.
How blessed are those who take refuge in him!
Fear Adonai, you holy ones of his,
for those who fear him lack nothing.
Young lions can be needy, they can go hungry,
but those who seek Adonai lack nothing good.

Come, children, listen to me;
I will teach you the fear of Adonai.
Which of you takes pleasure in living?
Who wants a long life to see good things?
[If you do,] keep your tongue from evil
and your lips from deceiving talk;
turn from evil, and do good;
seek peace, go after it!

The eyes of Adonai watch over the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry.
But the face of Adonai opposes those who do evil,
to cut off all memory of them from the earth.

[The righteous] cried out, and Adonai heard,
and he saved them from all their troubles.
Adonai is near those with broken hearts;
he saves those whose spirit is crushed.
The righteous person suffers many evils,
but Adonai rescues him out of them all.
He protects all his bones;
not one of them gets broken.

Evil will kill the wicked,
and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
But Adonai redeems his servants;
no one who takes refuge in him will be condemned.

Healing energy is headed his way.
Blessings on you all.

Sorry ,Corey, that this is happening. Wishing it wasn't. You and your family are strong and loving and will find the bright spots here - like the Teriyaki Lady. My best healing thoughts are with you and your brother.

Dear Corey~ Am holding you, your brother and your family in my thoughts. Sending love & healing hugs your way.

Dear Corey--very sorry for Marty's diagnosis. A tough road for sure. I lost both my parents to cancer and spent many hours with them in the Cancer Center waiting until their treatment was over. I talked to many patients and it is something I cannot describe adequately. I remember one 80 year old woman all dressed-up with white gloves, beautiful flowery dress, and the most pleasant smile waiting for her treatment. With every patient I talked to, my heart would break listening to their stories about their families, etc. Last year I lost a close friend to cancer. I spent time with him and his wife at his last Christmas and so glad I was able to and basically say my goodbye.

Sorry for this long post but my heart breaks knowing what Marty, you and your family are going through. Sending prayers your way.

Sending many prayers for peace, comfort and healing for all your family.

Many prayers for your brother, Marty.
May your love and your family's love envelop him and carry him through this difficult time.
