This is courage. This is faith. This is love.
This is my mom.
To continue being true to life even when
it isn't what you wish were true.
My mother's example never fails.
God, how did I get so lucky to
have this woman as my mother?
How did I not understand her gift when I was young?
How does a mother watch her child suffer
and still
celebrate faith, love, life, and show up?
I am in awe of her, utter awe.
She is a very special woman loved by more than you will ever know.

Dear Corey,
Thank you for sharing your marvelous Mother and her excellent example with us. We all benefit from her strength and can thank her for being a parent; you're a gift to all who read your blog, even if we have not yet met in person.
Feel our love for all of your family.
