Even after their darkest hours birds still continue to sing in the morning.
They bring us hope and light for another day

I just peeked out from under my covers this morning, reading the tragic headlines on my phone, 15,000 troops coming to my beautiful city of Washington DC, fences everywhere. I didn't want to leave my warm cocoon until I read your one simple sentence, Corey. Thank you.

This. Thank you.
I remember being taught that all it takes is the tiniest bit of light to break the darkness, but the same cannot be true for dark, -a law of physics that cannot be broken.
In this same vein my Gramma once told me that simply reverently invoking the name of God, Christ, or the Holy Spirit -where all light comes from, will cause the forces darkness to flee because dark cannot be in the same space as the Godhead. Hence the advice to always carry a prayer in our hearts.
Believer in God or not, the law of physics is irrefutable, and where there is light the dark flees. Keep searching for and bringing light.
