Distant View
I see you
I feel the grass under my feet and
the sound of the leaves as the wind blows through them
you are not far away
unless I try to hold you.
I believed I could go home whenever I wanted
that distance never felt faraway
until now with covid
I cannot go home.
But when I close my eyes
I see you
my heart beats so loudly
as the waterfall splashes to my feet
where I stand still
so faraway.

My heart aches for you. I lost my dear brother two years ago. Those first few months felt unbearable at times. He was a keeper of my childhood in many ways. Praying for you and your family as you navigate such a deep loss. Aren’t we lucky to have had such special brothers in our life?

He is but a whispered prayer away and he feels the invisible string that binds you. ❤️ xoxo

Corey, today, upon meeting an otherwise and what would have been a joyous occasion, paradoxically, I just broke down and cried, and cried, and cried, under the masked getup outfit, while sitting in the Golden Gate Park. I was crying because after meeting a certain financial goal, suddenly I felt the love that I have had for my family, thinking that no amount of money would bring our lives immortal, and that we will all say goodbye to each other. I would have gladly given back all my earthly assets if I could be with my loved ones forever as we lived as a family. It was a really strange mood as I had not cried like this for more than 30 years. Out of nowhere, I was overcome with grief thinking how transient our lives are, and how much I love my family. Then I came home and read the passing of your brother. We are all connected in a mysterious way. Indeed, grief is ‘love said in another way.’ God bless you and your family during this time, and may God unite Marty and his dad in heaven. God have mercy on us.

Big hugs always. Your loved ones know how much you love them and miss them and could be with them if you could.
No amount of distance either between Heaven or Earth can ever end a deep deep devoted love.
It lives forever in our hearts♥
I love you and send my prayers to you all
