I'm sorry I missed your post yesterday. I am feeling very deeply what you are talking about. I'm not sure where to place my (very unusual for me) anxiety about the coming months, but spending time with a 4 year old who loves me will help, I have no doubt.

I love the idea of everyday not being a 10. That's perfect.

Well said, Corey!
And seek some comfort in knowing that as solitary as the journey may sometimes seem, you are never really alone. "Footprints in the Sand"

I'm happy enough if the day is a 5, lol. It could be a 2 or a 3. Oh dear, I guess that makes me a cynic. I always remember your comment, "one has to bloom where planted." This Covid thing is a marathon, not a sprint. And embracing our inner strength is a form of protection to get us through.

Inch by inch life's a cinch
Yard by yard life is hard.
Something my beloved Mother used to say.

Keep taking baby steps towards brighter days.
Praying for us all and our world
Much love

So much wisdom and heart in your posts and your readers’ responses. Thank you all! Yes —— Life doesn’t have to be perfect to be wonderful.

Ordinary non-10 days are fine. Makes me think of 'Our Town.'
From the internet... 'Emily returns to Earth to relive one day, her 12th birthday. She joyfully watches her parents and some of the people of her childhood for the first time in years, but she realizes how little people appreciate the simple joys of life while they live them."
Every once in a while I try to view my present life from the perspective of many years from now. Makes me appreciate my family and my health as they are now a lot more.

“Feeling aware of the fragility of life
is tenderly heavy to hold.”
With age comes wisdom, I believe. Loosing my father @ the age of nine has always made me keenly aware that nothing in this life is permanent.
But yes, not every day can be a 10. I so agree. Being present is hard at times. But it does open the space to just be and feel what we feel. You know that feeling of being in a new place on vacation where everything is a wonder? I try everyday to take a photo of something as if I’m on vacation. It makes me be present, if only for that moment. Like others have said before, I love you for your honesty (and your way with words) and for sharing your life with all of us.

Live each day without regret.
