The thought above reminded me of
Saint Francis and his teachings-
… though when the bee stings me
the idea of being a flower fades.
Ah to be able to hold good thoughts about another when they sting you, to seek understanding in the face of adversity.
That was Saint Francis.
one of my favorite saints

This gave me joy, I have not of a bee this was, but you can bet the next time one comes at me, I will think of channeling my favourite flower!

Yes! I love St. Francis, what he spoke of and lived.

I am remembering Benny Bufano's statue of St.Francis near Fisherman's Wharf in SF. It was thanks to his friend Paul Vernier(owner of The City of Paris department store), and the French government that the statue came to 'live' in San Francisco after having been created
by Bufano in Paris.

I hope a bee did not sting you.
I am deadly allergic to bee bites, hornets and wasps.
I must always carry my epi pen with me

Funny, last time I was stung by a bee it was in my pool, on the back of my neck( I didn’t see That coming) I didn’t think of St Francis at all!
Next time I will try to be more mindful.

When I float in my pool, bees come sit on my suit to get moisture. I am calm and so enjoy observing them up close. If too many assemble, I just sink a bit to urge them to leave. A simple joy.
