thin was the veil that covered my heart
I knew my grief was standing beside me
I reasoned that I was okay
relived that my airline ticket was canceled three times
that is when the
undercurrent knew going home would open the damn
Not until I saw my mother's tears
and my brother's sacred ground,
and my dad's Harley in a trailer going with Sacha to Seattle
and my Aunt beautifully lying in bed
and a photo of Julie and me as kids...
did I know that the veil
would wipe the water from my face
Heartfelt posting of much love. Those who live forever in our hearts are never far away
God bless you all always
Love Jeanne

Even though I changed my FB page from a photo of me and Julie, it still pops up sometimes when I open FB. It’s there reminding that if not for Julie I wouldn’t be spending these 3 months in Terceira. The time is coming to an end, as I leave in about three weeks. She leaves me feathers and I see her smile around the next turn of cobblestones and blue skies.

So beautifully stated. So glad you went home. Loss of loved ones is so hard. May the blessings of your grands bring peace and joy.
