Is this a supply problem? Did the French wheat crop suffer in the excessive heat this summer? Everyone's bread prices will skyrocket with the ruined crop in Canada and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. I foresee shortages and am glad I bake my own sourdough bread at home.

Food prices are soaring all over the world. Thanks for educating us on the scenario in France.
May you always have your wondeful supply of baguettes and may all bakeries remain open.

1 Euro is worth 98 cents/US today. So, that's a pretty decent price. Still I'm sure when you've been paying 95cents/Euro, it could be a shock.

Martina

Grocery store baguettes are about $1.98 on up here.

I can live on baguettes, chocolate and strong coffee!!
