Songs of life were swirling above her, calling her as she walked by. As much as she wanted to enter into it, she doubted she could do it. Tempestuous dreams fluttered in her heart and stirred her imagination, causing an ache in the back of her throat.
How is it that our desire can be covered by fear?
Then like a song that sings over and over in our minds, barely uttering on our lips, a song that haunts us day long, the message of the words broke forth. If we cannot join the song of life that tempts us to take part, then perhaps we can offer it a token, a feather, a step forward, a word, a seed... Maybe we cannot do what we desire, and perhaps we cannot give our whole self just yet; nevertheless, we can honor our desire by giving it one small gesture.
Surely a nest is made in such a way.
Such beautiful, eloquent words touch my heart.
Sending love…
