Oh yum! I do love the strawberries this time of year. Here in Oregon we usually start seeing nice ones from California for my birthday; so I celebrate mid-March with strawberries. This year they were late showing up, but I did get some for Easter. Sooooo good.
My first paying summer job was picking
Driscoll's strawberries for my uncle in Watsonville in the early 1960's.
It gave me great respect for farm workers,as well as colourful spanish vocabulary.
