Gabriel and the Dinosaur Cake

 

 

 

My nephew Joe and his girlfriend, Jazmin, from California, are visiting us.

This morning I told them they were responsible for creating a dinosaur cake for Gabriel's fourth birthday. They rose to the occasion without hesitation, even though neither had baked a cake nor made frosting. I added that I did not have a mold for a dinosaur cake.

I thought it would be a fun-loving memory of their time in France. Yesterday, we spent the entire afternoon at sea in Cassis. Today we decorated, they baked, and I cooked. 

Voila, success, a chocolate dinosaur cake with a blueberry eye.

Gabriel was pleased.
