We, too, have had extreme heat. Last week temps were over 100 degrees with 110 - 115 heat index. This is very unusual.
Our summer started out in a drought, but then we got rain in July which is usually dry. We got 4.25 inches of rain yesterday.
Our planet is under siege!

I believe the hottest summers, at least across the Midwest and great plains, were the dust bowl years of 1930 through 1936. Climate cycles through many changes over eons of time
