Yumm … it might be two teaspoons of baking powder and one teaspoon of baking soda … non ?!

I have the ingredients on hand … just might make it … but wait … need to make chili to go with !!!

We didn't sweeten our cornbread where I grew up. I don't suppose it would hurt to leave the sugar out? We also didn't use buttermilk, but that does sound like something I'd like to try.

Yummm! This is like what my mom made when I was a young girl. I loved when she made it for dinner and we could put maple syrup on it. What a treat!!!
