Wish I was there!wishing you and your guests a fabulous week!
A tear catcher and a posey holder???

Sue Young

Poison bottles for ladies to poison their enemies, male or female.

Charlene Bailey

WOMEN WOULD PUT PERFUME OR SOMETHING THAT SMELLED GOOD IN THEM, AND PIN TO DRESS OR HOLD WHEN THERE WAS A FOULD SMELLING ODOR, ILLNESS ETC. I THINK VICTORIN WOMEN USED THESE. THEY WOULD HOLD TO THEIR NOSE SO AS NOT TO SMELL A FOUL ODOR.

Julie

A small vial for Holy Water?

Wanda Patrick

Tussy Mussy, used to hold fresh flowers. The glass bottle is a tear catcher, Victorian.

Shelby

Viniagrette for smelling salts?

Natasha

Pheromones holder to capture your sugar daddy lol 😆

Melanie

The first one is to hold cremation ashes. The second one is a brooch.

Judy

The first one might be for Laudanum and maybe the 2nd one was a needle holder. Have a great French la vie week. It will be fun to have Chelsea with you. What are the "grands" doing this week

Lynn h

The first picture- some kind of medication dispenser. It looks like a dropper is inside and there are markings on the side of the container.

The second picture- a piece of jewelry to hook over a buttoned-up shirt at the collar

I believe that it's something called a lachrymatory, or tear-catcher.

Nancy H

The first looks as if it has a wick, so I’m guessing it’s a tiny lamp and the second seems to hold fabric, perhaps of a departed loved one?

Ali

Oh, I think that they might be scent holders, for wearing around your neck on a chain. I have something similar. They were worn to hide the odours of the streets, I think…

The first one - a travellers oil lamp for pre electric explorers?
The second one is a handkerchief holder for the pocketless lady.
No idea really, will be interesting to know.

Diogenes

Holy water vial in case you run into someone who is possessed. That's the best I've got.

Diogenes

But Franca would have guessed roach clip. ;-)

Dianne

smelling salts?

Dianne

Or to be more precise French perfume vials. Beautiful whatever you call them. Some day maybe.
