I planned to show you my friend's kitchen today, and to ask your advice about what to do… though the traffic jam, and my camera battery running out of juice made today's post take a detour. Nevertheless, I will need your help.
Thank you for the great advice yesterday… I am now back at the drawing board!
Since many of you ask me, "Where to stay in Provence?" I thought I would give you a little tour of France, of the French provencal country side that is.

A taste of France, a little tour of beautiful places to stay, share a meal and enjoy the style de vie in France… a style of luxury in the country that is.

Holiday Homes in the Provence. Let me forewarn you, each one of these homes are a retreat haven. It will be hard to pick which one to stay in …so you might want to stay in all of them. One month in each. Then we would be neighbors, and I could come visit you…often.
I could never afford one night in any of these homes… but I can dream.

Most interiors in Provence have orange colored, tile floors called, "Tomette" , large wooden beams, high ceilings, a wine cellar, and chandeliers.

Note the ceiling, it probably use to be a wine cellar. When are you coming to Provence? If you rent this house, I'll come visit, and bring the wine.

Friends of mine rented this house in Goult a few years ago… it was a paradise, the interior, the gardens, the pool, the view, the place….

Provence Mas des Pierres Blanches, olive trees, clay tile roof: tiles called "Tuiles" Stoned framed windows. Old homes restored.
I went through this website: THE KITCHEN DESIGNER expecting to see s
ome kitchen designs, which I was happily satisfied, but I was fed full with a lovely tour of beautiful homes as well. I didn't know of this site, and had to share it with you.
My mouth watered over most of it, so I advise to grab a napkin before venturing inside!
As well this site: French Country Kitchen Designs is a treasure chest full of ideas, photos, style and pure French country look. It made me want to invest in copper.
Maison Cezanne, I think,, I might have to go live here… I could be their maid. Honestly I could be happy as a maid.

Hill perched towns, they are at every turn in Provence causing me to run off the road many times… to breath it in that is.

Welcome to my view of the world, tiled roofs. From my window I see 12 of them.

Lavender blooms profusely is July. Red Poppies in May, Sunflowers in June, it is colorful to say the least. It is breathtaking to say the most.
Gravel covers most terraces, as water is a luxury not to be wasted in Provence. Most plants in the gardens in the south of France need little water to survive.

Bonnieux, Provence a hilltop village with a carpet of Cherry trees in bloom.
Le Saffranier said, "…There is no more charming village in the Luberon than Bonnieux, home to
some 1,500 permanent residents. The otherwise quiet village comes to
life every Friday morning when vendors from miles around set up their
stalls on a square flanked by restaurants and cafes."
