Sunshine spills—
Azur sky, parasol pines,
waving to the waves.
Woke up to seagulls singing,
sea masts clicking—rhythmic lullaby.
The port of Cassis stretching, yawning,
beginning again. A hum, a glide, a splash!

Barefoot thoughts at breakfast
Salt air kisses. The day dives out before me.

“May you always have
a shell in your pocket
and sand in your shoes.”

“Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
