
When I moved to France, I was relieved. Summer heat was rare, and even on the hottest days, it rarely hit 90 and lasted only a few hours. I loved that.
But in the last couple of years, something’s changed. Today, it hit 112°F.
Most older homes here don’t have air conditioning or garages. You walk—everywhere. To your car, to the bus, to the store. Our home has no AC.
