Some days on a French la Vie adventure, those with us lose track of what day it is or where exactly we are on the map. But what we do know — is that we’re in good company, following the trail of antiques, stories, and laughter.
Today was one of those big unexpected bingo days — as I call them — when the rain we thought we’d catch didn’t stop for us, our plans got tossed out the window, and everything still fell into place. As delightful as we imagined. Everyone walked away smiling. That’s the magic of the in-between moments.
I love how we come together— from all over, different ages, different stories — with one shared spark: curiosity. That simple thing becomes a thread that ties us together. Whether it’s sharing stories, carrying each other’s treasures to the car, or just walking side by side down a village road, it feels real, it feels good.
And no — you don’t have to come with a group. You don’t have to be a seasoned antique lover. You don’t even have to be a woman (yes, we’ve had a few wonderful men join us too!). All you need is a love for discovery, a bit of wonder, and the desire to connect.
Every group is different, and that’s what makes it so special. We laugh a lot. We share what we know. We learn from each other. And by the end, we leave having found something we didn’t know we needed — whether it’s a rare antique, a piece of history, or simply a beautiful new friendship.
