A Day with Daisy

Daisy

Daisy, the miracle child, my Godchild, a bundle of sweetness.

Daisy

The last time I saw Daisy she was several weeks old, had a feeding tube and had survived a dramatic birth. Everyone who knew her considered her a miracle. Many of you sent her positive energy, her parents were awestruck at her courage to fight for a life yet lived.

I fell in love with her when she was four days old. I went to the hospital to take her photo, she was not expected to live, I offered to take photos of Daisy while her parent's held her for the last time… Then the miracle happened, she was breathing on her own! With their fear released, their joy burst forth, their tears washed over her, a glorious baptism.

Daisy may you bloom and grow happily!

I was so sad to miss you. I love the photos of my girl. She is an angel. As every mom will tell you, every needle prick she has experienced has been a needle prick in my own heart. When Daisy flourishes, when she smiles and the bloom is in her checks, my soul flies high. Thank you for sharing our story. Thank you to everyone who has prayed, encouraged us, and who have supported us with their thoughts and special gifts.
