Friday Fille… or just me

Friday file 2

Last week I decided that every Friday I would take a photo of myself.

Not as easy as I thought. Though after six years of blogging it seems natural (-ly slow coming) that I would show you who I am….

Five foot four (or almost) because who says five foot three and three/fourths of an inch? Someone who wants to be tall that is who.

I have hazel eyes.

I wear glasses.

My hair is dyed.

Friday fille 2.1

Grey thin wool sweater with a hint of dark purple.

With a long cotton/wool tee shirt underneath.

Wrapped haphazardly around my neck a checked scarf.

Hair not brushed.

Friday fille dressing room

While in a dressing room in Marseille.

Thought I would take a photo of my reflection, different angle of the subject.

The old tin letters on the side, are monogram pin tags used in hats during the 1900s.

I do not have a hat.

Shoes and lace

I never look at fashion magazines… but while staying at my friend Nathalie's house she had a bunch of them… I started taking close ups of photos I liked. Then matching them with other pieces I liked. Made me feel like a fashion photographer without the pay or glam.

Oxfords with lace. A new trend?

I bought some shoes similar to these.

Oxfords are in…

so is beautiful skin.

Lace cuff

The lace thing…

Lace cuff.

I think this lace top is my new best friend, I wear it constantly, unless it is in the wash.

Feather bow tie, checks and stripes

Feather bow tie with checks, stripes and a mini sweater.

Great look.

But I tend to go for black, grey, white…

Leopard print with a classic twist

I discovered Pinterest… oh my! That is addicting. Do you know about Pinterest?

It is an online site where you can "pin" photos you like with their link instantly to pin boards you create.

While pinning ( on Pinterest ) a whole new world of creative thought bursts in my mind. Possibilities! Made my finger itch to be creative.

Or at least … I might forego wearing only black. But as my mother would say, "Don't hold your breath."

Friday Fille….

Love it. So many ways to have fun with a camera today, keep it up.

  6. Fashion is totally out of my world. Fun to see you, love the hair up,(i should never make comments about hair, as i felt tortured by my mom from her comments about mine for years) and the color of the purple sweater , if it is purple looks like a stunning color for you. Divine pic of you and annie!
I finally have a day off for a 3 day weekend and it feels so good!

You look so chic in every single photo I’ve ever seen of you, Corey.
Everybody in the design department I work in has been raving about Pinterest. I haven’t ventured there yet. But maybe I should – it would save me from printing out stuff I love and then putting it in one of the many piles of “inspirational stuff” I have cluttering up my house!

  8. Cheryl ~ Casual Cottage Chic

You’re so chic, Corey! Love your style 😉

  9. Sharon Penney-Morrison

Lace is good. baggy is wonderful. Leggings a must.
    You are stylen Corey!

  10. You should participate in What I Wore Wednesday (The Pleated Poppy). I think it is really fun.

  11. It’s so nice seeing these charming photos of you, Corey! Keep them coming! 😉

  12. I also started my Pinterest boards recently. It’s SO CONVENIENT! You see something that you like, you pin it, and then it’s there if you want to refer to it without clattering your bookshelves or drawers at home.
That unbrushed, casual hair bun is something I dream of. All my life I had short hair as I have fine hair and if it it’s a bit longer, it doesn’t look like much. Besides, it grows into a short bob, about the length of my chin and then stops growing. Short hair is not as convenient as people think it is. You have to always brash it before leaving home and often style it a bit. With longer hair you make a pony tail or a lose bun and you are ready to go.

  13. Oh yes- I know about Pinterest and I can spend a very long time pinning things.
BTW- you’re adorable. I love your Friday photos and I even think you could do a Video Thursday!

I love Pinterest and yes, it is addicting.
Black, white and grey are also my wardrobe. Often I throw in a dark burgundy for color.

I too suffer from the same chin-length, add more layers for lift, thinning, same bob haircut. I would love a change. Maybe by dying it a fire engine red would help 😉

  17. The picture of you and Annie made my heart skip a beat. True love and respect..
    You are very lovely.
