Flying Home…Marseille, Amsterdam, San Francisco… Willows

Bird and wreath

Twenty two hours door to door.

Surreal eleven hours on a plane.

Suitcase packed.

Mixed emotion:

Happiness! Joy! Cannot wait to see everyone!

Sad to say goodbye, see you in the New Year.

No room for sentimentality if I want to stay sane.

Okay Gina, Marie, Maci, Molly and Kate… who has the longest hair this year?

  4. I hope you have a wonderful time. Don’t worry about anything. If there is one thing I have learned through my recent experience with my husband’s illness (update: he continues to improve every day & is moving to re-hab this weekend) it is to live one day at a time. But, Corey, I am sure you already know this. My thoughts and prayers have been with you all day today as you travel & make your way to CA. xo

I cannot believe that year has flown so fast, I remember like it was yesterday reading about your last trip home, think it was the time you girls compared hair lengths? Merry Christmas xxx Rae

  20. Me too Corey, but only 3 hours flying and 10 minutes from my door here in Malta to the airport!
What struck me was your post title: ‘Flying home…’ It’s amazing isn’t it that after all our respective years living in another country, we still refer call ‘home’ where we were born! I find I use ‘home’ to refer to my small patch of Hampshire in the UK, but really home is where I live now. Weird I/we just can’t change the semantics on this one.
Peace and friendship be with you, and let the wine flow! All the best for the season and New Year!

  21. Have a very Merry Christmas and a New Year filled with joy!
