Stories Collected While Living in France
I forgot to mention in yesterday photos of Chelsea and Mr. Espresso, that Alice, my Australian friend's daughter is in France. Alice is doing an internship in Paris. She arrived three days ago and will stay four months.
This afternoon we had lemonade, instead of taking a photo of her, I took a photo of the lemonade… I tell you I am kind of a ding dong these days.
It’s too late tonight, but I sure have a hankering to make some lemonade tomorrow, as it’s been at least since last summer (if not two summers ago) since we had any. I’m talking about the real stuff made from actual fresh lemons, not the powdered imitation mixes.
And the last time I had lemon meringue pie was with my distant Azorean cousin’s wife’s American first cousin Amelia — got that?!?!? — at a diner in Turlock; goodness, that was 10 years ago, where’s the time flown? Maybe if our summer heat and humidity relent a bit, I’ll feel inspired to run the oven.
