The Last French la Vie Group of the Year… Starts Tomorrow

One More Group Coming

One more group is on their way.
And I have to say—it’s been an extraordinary year.

I’ve met so many fun, delightful, slightly-obsessed people who love antiques.
My kind of people.
The kind who spot a 19th-century basket under a pile of linens from across the room and run (gracefully, of course).

Sometimes I’ve had to stop myself—
just a gentle internal wrestling match—
because I see something so good in someone’s hands,
and for half a second I think,
“Oh no, that should’ve been mine.”
But then I remember—I’m supposed to be the calm, smiling group leader.
The happy one.
The professional one who encourages others to find their treasures.

So I refrain. (Mostly.)

And honestly, when I see their faces light up,
when I see the joy of someone discovering that perfect piece—
something that speaks to them the way it once spoke to me—
I can’t help but feel happy too.
That’s the magic of it.

Then comes the packing part,
and that’s when the little voice whispers again,
“Oh, I could’ve liked that.”
But by then it’s too late, and the treasure is wrapped in paper,
ready to start its next story in someone else’s home.

And really—that’s what I love most.
That people come, trust me to guide them through these tucked-away brocantes,
to places that even the locals sometimes forget.
To share what I love—what has filled my life for so long—
and watch others fall in love with it too.

Yes, there’s a tiny flicker of envy now and then,
but it’s wrapped in joy, tied with laughter,
and tucked in among the stories of every beautiful find.

And yes—before I forget—
we’re continuing next year, 2026!

Can you believe it? Another round of treasure hunting, croissant-fueled mornings, and the occasional moment of antique envy (on my part, of course). We already have a few groups lined up, and—because good things fill up fast—there are only three spots left.

So if you’ve been thinking “maybe one day”,
perhaps that day looks a lot like 2026.
Send me an email and we’ll see if we can squeeze you in—
and then you can start thinking about how you’ll squeeze everything you find into your suitcase.

And if you can’t fit it all in (which happens not so often, though I wish),
you can always just leave a few treasures here with me…
and, well—come back next year to collect them, or just to repeat the same funwhich does happen very often!

The hardest part of doing this is saying, goodbye, and hoping that our paths cross again.
