Betting on the Crashing Waves in Cassis

Gabriel and I grabbed hands and raced to the lighthouse in Cassis, the waves roaring around us, the gate was locked for security. A bit disappointed we stood by the gate.

Laughing, and making bets over which waves would crash against the lighthouse. Pointing at each one, I’d say, “This one!” and he’d say, “That one!” You can imagine how it is to make bets against waves. He was bouncing with excitement, desperate to go stand by the lighthouse and get sprayed, and I was thankful that gate was the security guard, because if truth be told it was tempting.

Gee, it looks warm to me. Of course, we’re forecast to have a low temperature of -11°F (= ca. -24°C) overnight.❄️

      1. LOL! Stay warm!

        1. Merci! Our -11°F overnight was the coldest temperature recorded here in 31 years. It won’t be getting up to freezing for at least another week.

As long as all our utilities remain on and we have no emergencies, we’ll be fine.

How wonderful to experience the waves crashing with Gabriel. I have done that with my grandson, Desmond, and it is terrifying. He loves the crashing waves.
