For the first time in more than a century,
Ramadan and Lent share the same reflective time.
A rare alignment. A shared sky.
On a rural road near my home, an oratory marks a symbolic threshold.

These days, the air carries tension.
Borders harden.
Words sharpen.
Decisions ripple outward into lives and places that never asked for them.
Prayers rise with longing.
The road remains.
One carries the thin crescent rising above the horizon.
Another carries the memory of ashes.
This year, for forty days, two ancient paths run beside each other.
Two hungers.
One sky.
And somewhere along the road, we—the travelers—hold space.

Thank you for your messages, and prayers. Yann remains in the hospital with pneumonia. He is in excellent care.
