Here in AZ we have this kind of heat (or worse) each summer. However, we have expensive air conditioning which keeps us cool. We go from airconditioned home, to airconditioned car, to airconditioned stores. I do all my errands early in the morning (mainly groceries). We exercise indoors at a fitness center. Nothing outdoors. I wear mostly cotton and linen clothes. It’s a way of life, and we tolerate it because our winters are lovely with no snow! That’s when we venture outdoors. For summer, I switch over to summer cuisine where it requires no baking just stove top or summer salads.
Today we got an “extreme heat warning”, so we stay hydrated (drinks with electrolytes) and we minimize our time outdoors. I feel for the people with no AC, that would be unbearable and dangerous health wise. Take care.

I know many people don’t have air conditioning. How can you stay safe when it’s 107F?

Staying inside, or by a pool, or go to a center with A/C.

How do Chelsea & Martin keep the chickens cool?

The chicken coop is under the trees and it’s made of brick and it actually says pretty cool inside… but the chickens prefer to be outside under a tree

Just a thought. When I worked as a camp counselor, in the summer, in the heat, we would use ice to cool the campers down. Put it on the inside of both wrists and on either side of the trachea(carotid arteries). Blood vessels run close to the surface of the skin and that will cool the blood, which will go all over the body. Maybe carry a container of ice when you go out.

As hot and uncomfortable as it is, it is nothing compared to the real tragedies of the world. Nevertheless… it is hot.
