    I. M. Pei’s Louvre pyramid is really a genius of design. How do you place something at the middle of an historic building that doesn’t detract or compete with the architecture, and creates its own statement…

    1. I was living in Paris in the 80s when the pyramid was being built. People weren’t happy. There was so much conversation about it and now here it is glorious.

My daughter Katie is in France just now – my favourite City) – she and her French partner were in Paris during the week though back now in Annecy Where Arnaud’s family live. Although it is very cold where I live in Western Australia, Katie and Arnaud live in the North West of Australia where it is usually very hot for most of the year so they are handling the record heat wave over your way.

    1. I’m happy to hear that they’re doing well and enjoying their time in France!

  5. My 78 year old brother is going to Paris next week, he’s so excited to go for the first time!

    1. Oh, how wonderful! Even in the heat it’s still beautiful and you had a lovely time
