French Mini Muse… Marburger Friends

The girls at the bubble lounge at Warrenton antique fair

Back in 2009 I met Gwen and her sister Teri in Texas at the antique fair in Marburger where I was helping my friend Lynn who is an antique dealer there. While at Marburger I wandered around the fair admiring the booths, when I came to Gwen and Teri's booth, I asked if I could take some photos. Gwen asked who I was, and when I said my name she laughed out loud, "Tongue in Cheek"!! Oh my god my sister and I read your blog!

We have remain friends ever since.

Teri and Gwen have been importing French antiques for years, they do yearly containers.

When they asked to do a French Mini Muse with Ruth and me, I was a bit surprised, as they know their way around the antique world, and France is like their backyard. What could we show them that would be different, off the beaten path, worth their while?

Nevertheless, they came and we had a wonderful time, my only regret is that it went by far far far too quickly.

As I type, French Husband is driving a van full of their purchased antiques back to their warehouse in Lyon for pickup.

This is a photo of Gwen dancing at Round Top Texas, I had to dig deep to find it.

  3. Oh Corey
so great of you to post these old memories from Texas. I was just on the phone with a good friend who lives across country now and also reads your blog and she told me she was so thrilled to read the post of the mini muse. It was too fast and too short. Until next time…..xxxxoooo Happy New Year! Teri
