If I’m afraid of dogs, why am I attracted to postcards with dogs on them?

The child with her arms spread out who looks terrified – yeah that would be me.

And for good measure a photo of a stray cat on a chair…

  1. Maybe dogs are sending you a loving, subliminal message. They’re reaching out saying, “we know you’re afraid, but we’ll wait for you to come around and embrace us.”

  2. Could be because when you choose to view images of dogs you’re in control, whereas dogs IRL have control over you.

  3. I’m not sure why you are frightened dogs, Corey, but I am petrified of chooks!! I grew up with them & Mum had pet ones she would carry around.
My 4yr old godson tried to coax me with baby chickens but still I was very wary.
Even photos of them make me a bit off my kilter!!

Sorry you are afraid of dogs. I do fear barking dogs, but a wagging tail and a smile from a dog makes me happy. But a cuddly kittie is my favorite.
