Guest Post: Jeanette, Vintage Supply Company

Growing up in New England, I was always surrounded by antiques, though I didn’t begin selling them until 2009 when I opened my Etsy shop. At the time, I was doing a lot of assemblage art and had a surplus of supplies. I thought other people might be able to use this kind of material too, and they did!

Gradually, I moved away from creating art and began sourcing items from estate sales, flea markets and auctions, focusing on building my Etsy shop.

Eight years ago, I traveled to France for the first time and fell in love- not just with the culture, but with the amazing antiques. French brocantes quickly became my happy place, and I began shipping treasures home to resell. Since that first trip, I’ve returned every year, sometimes more than once. I’m completely hooked on antiquing in France!

Over the years, Corey has played a key role in helping me find special items at the right price, and last year I experienced the trip of a lifetime when Chelsea guided me through the brocantes of Paris and Lyon.

I love what I do and can’t imagine doing anything else. Perhaps one day I’ll step back or slow the pace, but for now I’m grateful for every part of it and enjoying the journey!
